The Unspoiled Beach of Buktot in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro

When you talk about Mindoro, Puerto Galera would probably be the first thing to come to mind. Perhaps it’s the most popular and the most accessible tourist attraction in the island. But Puerto Galera is just one of the many beautiful attractions in Mindoro. There is Pandan Island, Apo reef, Grace Island, the hidden islands of Bulalacao and there is Buktot white beach of Mansalay to name few.

Hidden in Brgy. Manaul Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, Buktot beach is probably one of the cheapest yet still one of the most beautiful hidden gems in the island. It’s a long travel going there specially if you’re from Manila. But once you’re there, it’s worth your time and effort.

The Castaway Island of Burias in Masbate Province

A Castaway Island…

Masbate province is located in the middle of the Philippine archipelago situated between Luzon and Visayas. Masbate province is still a part of the Bicol Region and is composed of Burias Island, Ticao Island and the main Island of Masbate. To get there you can ride a boat from Pasacao, Camarines Sur to San Pascual Burias Island.  Another alternative is from San Andres Quezon. Pasacao is roughly 6-8 hours ride from Manila. The first trip to San Pascual is around 6:00 AM. You can either take a boat to Brgy. Cueva or the main port in Brgy. Bolod (Poblacion).
